As Western North Carolina’s oldest producer-only farmers’ market, the North Asheville Tailgate Market is a driving force in the Asheville area local food movement.
Since 1980, The North Asheville Tailgate Market has created a vibrant Saturday morning gathering place that creates a fun, safe and enriching environment for youth, adults and folks from all walks of life.
What began in 1980 to offer local farmers an outlet to sell their farm fresh goods, has blossomed into an Asheville tradition with over 40 of the best farmers, bakers, growers, chefs, cheesemakers and artists.
Expect to find cooking demos, dietitian talks, live music and several WNC Cheese Trail cheesemaker and farm stop pop-up shops including Three Graces Dairy and Hickory Nut Gap Farm.
The North Asheville Tailgate Market is also open during November and December the market is open on Saturdays for their annual Holiday Bazaar.
