Join the English Farmstead Cheese and XYZ Spirits crews for a Valentine's Day themed fondue cheese and spirit pairing. Three savory specially crafted fondues will be paired with select wines, ciders, and beers from XYZ Spirits. After dinner, enjoy a tour (weather permitting) to see the heart of the English Farmstead Cheese operation including the cheese room, cave, and dairy. Following dinner, try three additional sweet cheeses, chocolate and caramel pairings with select wines, ciders, and beers. Event is 21+. No pets are permitted. Learn the how’s and why’s of pairing wine and cheese, taste some spectacular products, and have a chance to win prizes including free tickets to the Carolina Mountain Cheese Fest as well as a pair of passes to Addison Vineyard’s Barrel Tasting event.
City Tailgate Market at the Masonic Temple | Asheville, NC

The Appalachian Sustainable Agriculture Project's (ASAP) tailgate market, Asheville City Market, heads indoors for the winter to the Asheville Masonic Temple in downtown Asheville. Local and regional market vendors feature farm fresh produce, local eggs, meats, trout, fresh baked goods, handmade pasta, gourmet cheeses, honey, preserves, flowers, natural body care products, and artisan crafts. Several WNC Cheese Trail cheesemakers including Spinning Spider Creamery, Three Graces Dairy, Blue Ridge Mountain Creamery, and Looking Glass Creamery will be on hand vending cheeses and other goods. The market runs from 9 AM to Noon every Saturday from January 6th through March 31st. Free parking is available across the street at Home Trust Bank and at the county lot across from the YMCA.
