The Members of the WNC Cheese Trail are a diverse group of general curd nerds, farmers, cheese makers, specialty food producers, brewers, restaurant owners, and beyond! Though our focus is on the promotion of the artisan cheeses produced in Western North Carolina, many of our Members create complimentary products and experiences which enrich our local economy and food community. We also have room for support from cheese enthusiasts.  Check out the four levels of membership below for more information and registration links for each tier!

Open to businesses that distribute, sell, market and/or support the local cheese industry and have a destination that is open to the public.
​Members include farms, vineyards, breweries, etc.
This level of membership is available to businesses that distribute, sell, market and/or support the local cheese industry. This membership category is also available to value added producers of dairy based foods (like ice cream, fluid milk, or fudge) and cheese makers outside the WNC membership region.
Open to Cheese Makers in WNC only. Includes many benefits including promotion and inclusion at Cheese Trail events and a booth space at the annual Carolina Mountain Cheese Festival.

Each year the WNC Cheese Trail presents the Carolina Mountain Cheese Fest.
During the Carolina Mountain Cheese Fest, the public are given a chance to sample, learn, and engage with the cheese makers of Western North Carolina and build strong connections with their local food community.
We rely on and greatly appreciate the support of our local business community to help make the Carolina Mountain Cheese Fest possible each year.
